Ductile Piles

The Bauer Ductile Pile (BDP) is a cast iron driven pile system, consisting of pipes with diameters of 118mm and 170mm and a wall thickness of 7.5mm up to 12.5mm. The pipes are 5m in length and have a conical spigot socket and a taped ending. Thus the individual pile segments can be assembled to a pile shaft of any length, without using any special tools. Ductile Piles are used to carry light loads.

The ductile piles are installed on site by a high frequency hydraulic impact hammer, which is virtually vibration free. Depending on the soil condition the ductile piles can be installed as end bearing piles or as grouted skin friction piles.
